ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD (ARB)

This is a subcommittee of several board members who review property enhancement requests from home owners. An ARB (Architectural Review Board) Form must be submitted to the board for consideration and approved BEFORE work may commence on a change to your existing property. Typical requests include: house paint, trim, and/installation; and any structural changes to your existing home - e.g., new front doors, room additions, or garage door replacement. Forms are located on the "PCE Forms and Resources" page of this website for downloading—completed, signed forms may be submitted for subcommittee review to the address as indicated on the form. Homeowners will receive written notification within 30 days of form submission whether the requested property changes have been approved.

BLOCK PARTY

Our Block Party Committee has been resurrected after a long hiatus and is back stronger than ever!! Currently, Palm Cove has two block parties per year, one in the spring (generally April) and the other in the fall (generally November-December). The committee always needs volunteers (food, set-up, break-down, beverages, logistics) and will begin soliciting your help about a month prior to the scheduled block party event. The team leader for the block parties welcomes your ideas and suggestions throughout the year to keep our block parties the best in Orange County! Looking forward to seeing you and your family at the next Fall Block Party!

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH

We currently do not have a Neighborhood Watch committee. If you or anyone you know is interested in forming one, shoot us a message! Safety starts with us! Both Neighborhood Watch and the COPS program make an active difference in our community with increased cooperation between our neighborhood and Orange County Sheriff's Office, providing assistance to the Sheriff's Office through additional observation and reporting, and providing an increased public presence in the neighborhood. As neighbors there is an easy way to make our community safer...join the Palm Cove Estates Neighborhood Watch Program. The best crime prevention device ever invented is a good neighbor. The security steps you and your neighbors take as a group are just as important as the things you do individually. This joint effort is called Neighborhood Watch. Neighborhood Watch includes an effort to inform everyone of good home security techniques, marking and listing your property, and neighborhood participation. In addition, it includes watching out for and reporting suspicious or unusual activities in your neighborhood--not only for your own property, but also of your neighbors. Safety Tips To Remember: - Always keep your home alarm set - Always keep your eyes open when you are driving through the neighborhood - Call the OC Non-Emergency number if you suspect anything: (407) 836-HELP • (407) 836-4357 - Call 911 If You Know Something Is Wrong

CITIZENS ON PATROL (COPS)

Citizens on Patrol is a non-confrontational neighborhood patrol program. Volunteers are not law enforcement officers, but are trained to be the "eyes and ears" for the Sheriff's Office in their own neighborhood. Volunteers donate their time to patrol neighborhoods while driving special Sheriff's Office vehicles. Citizens who have passed a screening process will then participate in a volunteer academy that includes training in areas such as crime prevention, first aid, CPR, how to spot suspicious and criminal activity and more. Contact the Palm Cove Estates HOA for more information about joining the COPS Program–PCE.
